In a private initiation ceremony, I became one with the elements of destruction. Forever opening the doorway to a world of pain excruciating and time unknown.
When I opened my eyes I realized that i had crossed over the threshold of my former reality into a realm of unnameable forms and sluggish beings made up of elemental sundries, and amorphous jellies; who acknowledged my presence with sighs and whimpering. Coercing my curiosity, I reached forward over seemingly endless spatial distance to touch this sludge which breathed through eight inches of water and corn syrup. My hand reached for what seemed like five minutes………..finally making contact, we both recoiled with a startled shriek.
In that instant, I could feel the cold of the darkest corner of the universe, while simultaneously I could feel my heat as it singed and scorched the membranous outer layer of its body causing it to scream as if trying to contact another world…
I found myself able to breathe without effort, while my counterpart was laboring to gather any breath at all, and when i lifted my head to somehow glean some idea of my location, it seemed i was floating on the breeze. i had become one with the ether…ethereal corporeality…
The spaces between the spaces between were so constricted, i felt that if I moved what would amount to a mere centimeter in my former reality, it would displace me by a hundred-thousand years…
Had i become a giant of sorts, or become so focused on my surrounding that now i looked with microscopic precision??
The rapingly cold tendrils of memory came back all at once, and i felt myself fall
Into a dream state, as i felt my form hit the solid floor. I went from space to the womb. Where I beheld white light at the end of a tunnel, and had the overwhelming urge to escape into an unknown world of uncertainty.
had I been here before? And why have I found my way back? I knew somehow that this was my destiny: to be here in this place, in this very chain of events…
I felt myself fading away for a few moments…..turning gray…then with a hard slap, I knew pain, awareness discomfort and fear.
In the next instant, i saw the face of my Mother as Dad leaned in with a proud smile…
Gasping for breath and clutching the waking world, bolting upright…it really was a dream…
i really am lost in the in between…
